Old DB not deleted...

A couple of months back I had a PHPNuke DB but deleted it using the web based control panel. I've just created a DB with the same name and found all my old tables apparantly still there.
Seems strange to me that they are not deleted, I was wondering if this meant old data in my DB's may be taking up space that I'm not aware of.
Anyone else had this happen?

Yep - you go for the same DB name you may well have your DB still there, drop the tables manually to get shot of them, but it is a nice backup feature. :D
