View Full Version : MySQL - out of action?
Hmmm... I can get into my databases through the control panel ok, so they're definitely all still there.
But none of my webpages can connect and I get an odd message:
Oh, er.... now that I've gone to get the odd error message my pages are worlking ok and correctly connecting to the databases.
There was definitely a glitch there for a moment - did any one else notice it?

Hi Happy Axe
Amazing really. I make my own decissions that's why I did ServerStat (http://ServerStat.co.uk) - so I and other customers can be better informed of VH servers.
If I wasn't happy with a host I'd simply move tbh I wouldn't post on a forum bashing helpful people. Nice personal touch!
Kind regards.

I'm just stating that you do not work for them, and whenver I ask a question regarding Valuehost, its you thats always answering my questions.
you fail to give an answer as to what is happening with the servers, except for your usual line... serverstat says its ok...
So as much as you try helping, if Valuehost dont give you enough information on what there doing to MySql Servers, your trying is in vain...
I'm not bashing any one i just want answers, is that so much to ask?

Hi Happy Axe
If you want indepth, direct and quick answers as apposed to the general you could voice call free ValueHost Customer Services - I've called several times today OK.
I don't fully understand what kind of information your after.
I use sql servers and I have no problems - that's a good indication otherwise others would be having problems also as frequent as yourself.
Kind regards.

Dear Customer (Enc) - you weren't happy, moved and gave the new host only a few hours - tried to slate them and got a few opinions back stating as such that you were in the wrong.
You have posted as a representative of VH - by using the same initial line as I have here.
You even interjected on a legal post (noted as being a party to any communication automatically involves the party) - and also have stated you have access to others accounts, we have saved posts to this effect.
Please state publically your affiliation with ValueHost so people know and stop liying - for example 'we have an open forum'.
Best regards

Hi Decker
This has been posted several times by yourself while you attempt to discredit me simply because I am a happy, long term customer of Valuehost.
The incident your refering too happened some time ago now. I had been away from the forums for awhile and read what I now believe to be an orchastrated attempt by a select few to discredit Valuehost along with me because I am a helpful customer to other customers.
I decided to move host only to find the other host worse.
I gave them what I considered long enough and not 2 hrs.
The other host had no open/public forum and no telephone to call just a support ticket system so I couldn't do like what customers can do with valuehost and either and or post on the forum or telephone them.
I prefered the forum, telephone and email support Valuehost offer so came back - I don't apologies for coming back to valuehost, I'll pick the host I think best, obviously!
I would love too see any posts you saved where I have said I have access to valuehost accounts because I live hundreds of miles away from the valuehost office, don't work for valuehost or have ever been paid in any way shape or form for any reason by anyone connected to valuehost.
What it simply is that you can't handle a happy customer who is simply helping other customers and likes to be involved.
Yes I call valuehost for other customers who ask me to do so - I don't apologies for that.
I did ServerStat for customers so people could see for themselves how valuehost perform - I don't apologies for that.
I fail to understand why you can't accept what someone says but you never will so why I keep trying is beyond me.
Kind regrads.

I have been having problems for months.
Also why do you phone VHCS so much?

Hi
If you must know... I phone on behalf of Valuehost customers (with their permission) to help get their matters resolved with great success.
It has not posed a problem to customers and or valuehost so it shouldn't be of concern to anyone else but the people involved.
Customer such as eg: international customers with queries and who may having difficulty with the language barrier or want someone with more experience of valuehost and domain settings so the query can be resolved quicker.
Someone said earlier that I worked for Valuehost and to be honest if I lived closer and didn't have family commitments I would apply for one of the 2 positions that are available. I'd love to work for Valuehost :D
Kind regards.
