Just thought I would post a positive comment regarding Valuehost.
Firstly, I've found the service to be extremely good value for money, considering everything you get for your money. A very good package, hard to be found elsewhere.
I haven’t noticed any downtime whatsoever (the odd Russian control panel, but that’s all :p)
Secondly, the helpdesk have been efficient, and correct with all our enquiries. We had a slight problem after one of my colleagues registered our domain with another web company (UK2.net). Via e-mail, valuehost helped us transfer the domain transparently and effortlessly.
We'll certainly be recommending valuehost to our customers as part of their web-hosting package, and may even sign up for the affiliate program.
